We focus on the tried-and-true staples of the American diet; veggies and herbs you’ll know and recognize like tomatoes, basil, broccoli, and bell peppers. We strive for a steady flow of favorites with some variety, so you won’t get bogged down by too much of the same thing. Each week we include one or two things we think are delicious but some people may not have tried before. We’ll always include easy and delicious preparation ideas and recipes.
Each week, we include at least one onion-family veggie, one or two herbs, a salad green, and a cooking green. Once high season rolls around, we’ll also include favorites like cucumber, tomato, bell pepper, and summer squash, and one or two root crops per week, like radishes, turnips, beets, carrots, potatoes, and sweet potatoes. As the late summer and fall arrive, we’ll start to include more storage veggies like rutabaga and winter squash.
Full shares come in 40 x 30 x 35 cm plastic box. It will contain produce that would cost you about $35 at a farmers’ market. Half shares come in 40 x 30 x 25 cm plastic box. It will contain produce that would cost you about $15-20 at a farmers’ market. Buying through St. Clare Garden’s CSA will save you about 15-20% on market prices.
